On July 22nd, Brown & Brown senior leaders Powell Brown, Andy Watts, James Lanni, and Hyatt Brown were on-site to witness another milestone in the construction of our new headquarters. Teams from Fabco Metal Products and Barton Malow erected the very first steel column in our new building—the first piece of more than 1,000 tons of 98% recycled steel sourced from Indiana will be used in the project.
Located less than seven miles from the Beach Street site, Fabco was tasked with sourcing and fabricating the various pieces needed for the building. The vertical installation of steel will be done in four sequences to allow other project work to take place simultaneously with the erection of steel.
Steel installation is expected to be completed by December 2019.
