As a Category 5, Hurricane Dorian was one of the most powerful storms on record to strike the Bahamas. Thousands of homes were destroyed from intense wind, heavy rainfall, and flooding. The storm left behind an estimated $7 billion in property damage.
Many Brown & Brown teammates have contributed to hurricane relief efforts, including our Fort Lauderdale office. Their team came together to collect many supplies, including water, non-perishable food, pet supplies, household items, and more. All items were donated to Hurricane Dorian survivors in the Bahamas, along with a $2,000 cash donation.
