Friday, November 22, 2019, was another milestone for Brown & Brown Insurance, Barton Malow, FABCO Metal Products, and others involved in the construction of our Beach Street Campus. The final steel beam was successfully lifted into place atop our building, marking the end of this important phase of construction. This ceremony, known as “topping out”, is a long-standing tradition in building construction around the world.
Before the beam was transported to the Beach Street campus construction site, Brown & Brown teammates at our current Daytona Beach office had the opportunity to sign the all-white beam. On Friday before the ceremony, workers had the chance to sign the beam before it was lifted and secured in place.
During the ceremony, Barton Malow’s Len Moser and Craig Ruebusch joined Brown & Brown President & CEO, Powell Brown, to talk about the importance of this project milestone.
