Job Summary

The Technical Assistant provides assistance to Account Managers on their assigned groups, including supporting clients’ health, disability, and other employee benefit programs.

Essential Duties and Functions:
• Assist with the processing of plan enrollments, terminations and changes as needed
• Assist Account Managers with billing issues/employee claim issues and/or grievances
• Maintain client files per agency guidelines; properly document all conversations and confirm to client all actions taken at their request
• Shadow and assist Implementation Specialist as needed
• Perform clerical functions including but not limited to submitting and sending faxes, proofreading, and photocopying documents
• Satisfy licensing continuing education requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Knowledge – the individual must have a strong technical knowledge of employee benefits
• Attitude – the individual must have a positive attitude and be a team player

Required Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain Florida License 2-15 within first 6 months in role
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Exceptional telephone demeanor
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Customer service experience preferred
