Job Summary
Brown & Brown is seeking an experienced population health consultant to join our team! This individual will report to the Brown & Brown Regional Employee Benefits Leader and the National Population Health Consultant. The Consultant will be expected to:
- Work independently, serve as an extension of the sales and client management teams within their region, and lead population health client consulting engagements for employers with 200+ employees.
- Serve as a specialist resource for their region – providing population health training and mentoring to sales and client management teams and local office-based population health specialists.
- Support efforts at the national level to help monitor market innovations with Brown & Brown’s Innovation Hub
- Support product development and develop best practice consulting tools and processes
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Develop collaborative working relationships with offices across their region
- Support business development efforts for their region
- Provide population health consulting to key clients, employers with 200+ employees and consortiums/trusts
- Provide population health training and mentoring to offices within their region
- Support monitoring of the employee benefits and health care marketplace trends, innovations, market structure, channel partners, etc.
- Support the development of best practice consulting tools, processes and methods
- Support development of points of view, sales & marketing materials, internal training programs and external presentations
- Other duties may be assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience consulting to employers on population health and innovative approaches/solutions
- Knowledge of the self-insured employee benefits marketplace, trends and innovations
- Knowledge of the health care delivery system, digital health and medical carrier/TPA capabilities
- Deep knowledge of the population health vendor “point solution” marketplace
- Marketing and Communications – familiarity with basic marketing and communications concepts including social media
- Oral & Written Communications – expresses ideas effectively, organizes and delivers information appropriately and listens actively
- Analytical – aptitude to interpret population health and benefits data and analytics
- Planning/organizing – plans and organizes tasks and work responsibilities to achieve objectives. Sets priorities, schedules activities and works efficiently and independently

Required Skills
Required:
- 5 to 10 years’ experience with population health consulting and/or working in the well-being industry for a carrier or vendor
- Bachelor’s degree in related subject; Master’s degree preferred
- Valid Life & Health License
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Willingness to travel within the region up to 40%
