Job Summary

Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc’s Jacksonville office is growing and seeking an exceptional individual with proven discipline, and commitment to join our team as Personal Lines Client Account Manager. This individual provides a high level of customer service by developing a positive relationship with each client. Must demonstrate clear knowledge of personal insurance coverage and remain current with industry offerings. Manage the day-to-day account activity as well as renewal marketing efforts & account rounding opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily account activity such as answering client questions, providing coverage analysis, submitting change requests, invoicing, providing claims assistance, & maintaining timely follow-up procedures.
  • Enter Carrier commissions and Producer commissions in AMS.
  • Follow procedures as presented in the Personal Lines Procedure Manual with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage the monthly renewal process to include market selection and submission, quote analysis/comparison, & company rewrites when necessary.
  • Once approved/reviewed and if needed, work with Producers to prepare renewal proposal indicating summary of current and renewal/re-write options.
  • Utilize Brown & Brown approved proposal sheet, Excel and Word documents with before and after scenarios for the Private Client and some Mid-Market clients.
  • Include all signature forms, rejections, and surplus forms needed to be collected for the renewal/re-write.
  • Prepare summary of invoices in Excel or Word for the Private Client book and present to Producers to assist with renewal retention.
  • Stay current with property/casualty insurance carrier programs & guidelines, for both admitted and non-admitted markets.
  • Participate in cross-selling opportunities and cross-department referrals, as well as proactively striving to increase client retention.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and programs to stay up-to-date on new commercial lines products and services and to learn new skills.
  • Establish a strong relationship with clients and insurance carriers.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Skills

  • FL 4-40 Customer Service Representative License Minimum Requirement, 2-20 Preferred
  • 3+ years’ personal lines experience in a customer service or Account Manager role
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook a must
  • High School Diploma, AA or Bachelor’s Preferred
  • Experience with Agency Management System (AMS360) Software a PLUS!

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance policies, coverage’s, documents and regulations.
  • Provide high quality service for the clients, always maintaining a pleasant and helpful attitude towards the insured.
