Job Summary

Brown & Brown of New York in White Plains, NY is seeking an experienced Commercial Marketing professional to join our team! This individual will support the sales and service team by marketing new and renewal business to promote growth and retention of the Commercial Lines book.


  • Execute new business and renewal marketing related activities in accordance with goals and objectives of the profit center and established policies and procedures.
  • Identify and develop marketing opportunities and strategies with carrier partners and production staff.
  • Establish, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with carrier partners to provide a benefit to the profit center, as it relates to optimizing coverage and pricing.
  • Assist in negotiating and maintaining carrier and wholesale contracts in accordance with insurance operations requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement marketing strategies for the profit center incorporating new products and services, identification and selection of target markets, and tailored/unique coverages.
  • Communicate new opportunities, market trends, and carrier information to all members of the team.
  • Manage administrative access for carrier systems and ensure procedures and insurance company regulations are adhered to.
  • Identify potential errors and omissions risk and implement procedures which will minimize or eliminate exposure.
  • Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
  • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing.

Required Skills


  • Valid Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license in good standing.
  • Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in insurance industry, preference to those with experience working with NYC Construction clients.
  • Proficient in profit center computer programs, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, and insurance company proprietary software.


  • College Degree in a business-related field.
  • Completion of designation(s)

Salary Range

Negotiable, depending on professional experience.
