Job Summary

Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc’s  West Palm Beach office is growing and seeking an exceptional individual with proven discipline, and commitment to join our team as Marketing Analyst for our Commercial Lines Team.  This individual assists the Sales Agent and Team Leader marketing (submitting/quoting) new and renewing business to our preferred insurance carriers.  This person works to build meaningful relationships with carriers and brokers, while maintaining compliance with internal processes and procedures as well as Quality Control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily calendaring and scheduling of appointments with carriers and marketing representatives
  • Return phone calls as delegated to carriers and or marketing representatives
  • Assistance & support in maintaining carrier relationships and carrier meetings
  • Assistance & support to Marketing Manager
  • Attend monthly renewal meetings & carrier meetings
  • Maintain Meeting Notes and updates as required
  • Review submissions received from producers (new business) and account managers (renewals)
  • Marketing of renewal accounts and New Business Accounts
  • Follow up for quotes from markets
  • Create, update and maintain marketing log to track progression of quotes from markets
  • Follow up with producers and/or account managers for additional information
  • Assist in proposal preparation
  • Work directly with sales and service to complete marketing worksheets
  • Work on rate comparisons and analysis for new and renewal accounts
  • Review loss runs and complete historical loss analysis
  • Work directly with producers to complete applications
  • Work with producers to organize and print proposals
  • Work with producers to improve daily processes to make them more efficient
  • Get quarterly updates on profit sharing with carriers; Work Closely with Claims Manager
  • Monthly reporting and data entry for Top Gun
  • Assistance with Top Gun spreadsheets for sales meetings
  • Maintain carrier contacts within Outlook and marketing summary sheet
  • Maintain carrier library within Outlook
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • 2-20 Property & Casualty License
  • 3+ years’ experience in P&C independent agency
  • Familiar with multiple carrier online rating sites and ability to quote online
  • Commercial Lines experience highly preferred
  • Interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • High level of reliability and dependability.
  • Able to deal with deadlines and tasks in an organized and prioritized manner.
  • High School Diploma Required. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoin
