Texas Security General Agency, a wholesale subsidiary of Brown & Brown Insurance, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team. TSGA offers a multitude of personal lines to homeowners, dwelling fire and mobile home markets. TSGA is committed to providing it’s agents with the best market availability and the most comprehensive technological advances the insurance industry has ever seen. In February 2007, TSGA expanded into the commercial lines business providing competitive markets for commercial property, liability and inland marine products. Today, TSGA offers a wide array of Commercial contract & brokerage markets.


The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, organizational development, and employment.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for all or part of these areas:

  • staffing logistics;
  • organizational and space planning;
  • performance management and improvement systems;
  • organization development;
  • employment and compliance ​to regulatory concerns and reporting;
  • employee orientation, development, and training;
  • policy development and documentation;
  • employee relations;
  • committee facilitation;
  • company teammate communication;
  • benefits administration;
  • employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; and
  • teammate services and counseling.
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • At least 5-7 years experience in Human Resources
  • Insurance industry experience a bonus, but not required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
