Job Summary

Brown & Brown of New York is growing and we are looking for someone to join our Employee Benefits sales team. We offer our sales executives an opportunity to join a dynamic team with a tradition of success. Our results-based, decentralized company culture provides unlimited income potential for entrepreneurial salespeople. This is a base salary plus commission, benefits eligible opportunity.

You will sell group health insurance products including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Critical Illness, Life, Long Term Care, etc. Additional responsibilities include :

  • Pursue new prospect appointments through different outreach strategies
  • Renew existing clients annually
  • Establish relationships with clients and create referral networks
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Manage onsite enrollment meetings with customer’s employees
  • Cross sell clients with other insurance divisions within the agency
  • Coordinate with account management and support teams
  • Maintain trust and working relationships with multiple insurance carrier partners

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid NY Health & Life License
  • 3+ years’ experience with benefit sales

Preferred:

  • ChHC, CEBS, REBC or CLU designation(s)
