Job Summary

Our Marketing Leader is responsible for marketing of new and renewal business and development of carrier relationships.

Required Skills

• Analyze market information in order to develop, design and implement creative strategies for sales team members and customers.
• Directly assist PCL, producers and Account Managers within the Commercial Lines department in the marketing of new and renewal business.
• Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
• Maintain currency and further develop expertise in various sector or market areas by networking and participating in professional development activities.
• Build strong relationships with carrier underwriters and sales/marketing staff.
• Track success and failure of business placement with our carriers annually.
• Analyze market information to develop, design and implement creative strategies for sales team members and customers
• Monitor, identify and develop new method, new markets, and new opportunities
• Submit account and negotiate terms and pricing with insurance companies, propose to producer, bind with carrier and hand off final terms to account manager
• Attend breakfast, lunch & dinner appointments with insurance company underwriters and executives to build and foster relationships and discuss accounts
• Attend insurance company open houses and other company events

Education and Experience:
• Minimum education required – Bachelor’s Degree in Business related area
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Exceptional telephone demeanor
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar position
• License or Designation
