Job Summary

The Commercial Insurance Marketing Leader organizes the day to day activities of the marketing team and delegates task assignments to assure the proper functioning of the team. This person insures professional and efficient business practices as well as enhancing the growth and development of their team members. An effective leader to drive quality insurance products for our customers on middle market and large accounts. This role also includes making strong, long lasting relationships with our carrier partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coaching, mentoring, training, and supervising team members with all levels of experience
• Acting as a resource for employees in all aspects of marketing, coverage, marketing, escalated client needs, relationship management, and more!
• Managing strategic projects that help the department and agency grow to meet the needs of our team and our customers.
• Must possesses drive and a strong work ethic with the ability to push through adversity.
• Proven ability and track record to interact with carrier representatives and executives required.
• Strong knowledge and experience of property and casualty insurance including: coverages, rating, terminology and technical procedures. P&C license required.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining business relationships
• Must be a “people person” who likes to establish new relationships while learning communication strategies and sales methods.
• Experienced in Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Reader. Ability to quickly learn new programs and applications.
• Skilled in business writing and problem/situation analysis.
• Energetic, self-motivated individuals who are goal oriented and can thrive in a team environment.
• Responsibilities include maintaining key relationships, strategy development and managing internal resources to deliver innovative solutions.

Required Skills

• A defined management style and point of view
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other leaders to establish strategic goals and execute plans to meet those goals
• Impeccable communication and leadership skills
• High proficiency in Excel, specifically with pivot tables
• An acumen for identifying and solving problems in workflows and procedures
• P&C license recommended.
• At least 3-5 years of proven success in leadership or supervisory roles
• Over 4 years of Commercial Insurance experience
• A four-year college degree is preferred (but not required) with 3 plus years as a successful Insurance producer with ability to maintain and build relationships.
