Job Summary

Brown & Brown of California is hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager. The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for the day to day servicing of assigned accounts. Our Account Managers function in a support capacity to the Producer by performing duties requiring a high degree of technical expertise. Day to day servicing would include answering routine coverage questions, ordering and processing endorsements, policy checking, audit checking and processing, invoicing, issuing certificates of insurance as well as marketing renewals and new business.

Required Skills

  • Oversee assigned book of business in accordance with Brown & Brown policies and procedures
  • Hold Bi-Monthly New/Renewal Meetings with Producer
  • Renewal Processing
  • New Business Processing
  • Process mail as it comes in daily
  • Handle routine incoming calls; Answer questions regarding client coverage and limits.
  • Client / Company Requests (receive – coordinate – process)
  • Producer request for assistance (coordinate process)
  • Handle all accounting requests
  • Claims (receive – coordinate – process)
  • Policy Checking
  • Create and maintain schedules of insurance
  • Train new AMs and AAs on policies and procedures
  • Final Audits (receive – coordinate – download to AA)
  • Issue Certificates
  • Obtain signed finance agreements
  • Order MVR’s
  • Follow-up with Producer to ensure Insurance Coverage Review Checklist is completed timely.
  • Inform Producer of unusual activity on accounts.
  • Any other job-related duties as may be assigned

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Positive attitude and commitment to working in a team environment
  • Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
