Job Summary

Brown & Brown Insurance of Georgia’s Alpharetta office is growing and seeking an exceptional individual with proven discipline, and commitment to join our team as Senior Client Advocate/Account Manager for our Personal Lines Team. This individual is responsible for maintaining a book of business by means of servicing and cross selling personal lines accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with clients at all levels within the company and lead appropriate resources to address the client’s needs – including risk identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues.
  • Process daily mail, faxes, and e-mails, for assigned accounts.
  • Answer and process all telephone requests for assigned accounts.
  • Enter all required data into AMS 360 and ImageRight to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts.
  • Gather required information for quoting a new account/new line of business.
  • Complete a personal risk management evaluation for client.
  • Underwrite, quote, and propose new business to client.
  • Issue policies in adherence of company underwriting guidelines and Brown & Brown policies.
  • Review new applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the company’s carriers.
  • Maintain expiration records.
  • Renewal marketing, including quoting, of assigned personal lines risks.
  • Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, evidence of property insurance, auto ID cards, and cancellations as defined in the company procedures’ manual.
  • Maintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence and all transactions.
  • Prepare agency billed billings and/or invoices on a timely basis.
  • Advice accounting of the appropriate posting of moneys received on assigned accounts.
  • Assist in the collection of premiums as defined in the procedures manual.
  • Develop and maintain working relationship with the various company underwriters.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the various carriers’ rating plans and programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of the carrier’s coverages.
  • Maintain favorable relationships with clients, producers, and employees.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of personal lines coverages and trends.
  • Meet with clients as needed.
  • Perform clerical functions
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills

  • Georgia Property & Casualty License
  • 4 years’ + of personal lines insurance customer service experience, including in an independent agency setting
  • Knowledge of risks and coverage in all areas of personal lines
  • Proficient and Effective with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiar with AMS360 and ImageRight highly preferred
  • Independent, self-starter with an acute attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and customer service driven attitude
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with frequent interruptions
  • Accuracy and speed are strong requirements
  • Organized and reliable
  • Prioritize and plan work activities
  • Capable of handling difficult customers
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimum supervision
  • High School Diploma Required ; AA or Bachelor’s Degree a Plus!
