Job Summary

Brown & Brown Gulf States is seeking a Client Service Representative to join their Employee Benefits team. This individual will provide customer support for client accounts and transactions.

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following.

  • Providing Customer Service
  • Close Renewal / New Group files – ready for filing, make sure check list is complete
  • Month End Procedures for renewing groups
  • Preparing and sending Thank You Letters
  • Intercepting and processing applications and change forms
  • Processing Individual Health Applications/Quoting
  • Marketing New Accounts and Renewals, handling all carrier correspondence.
  • Preparing New Account and Renewal Proposals.
  • Assistance with submission of New Business and follow up on outstanding requirements
  • Preparing AORs and forwarding to carriers
  • Preparing Top Gun Reports for New Sales, AORs, and lost business
  • Assisting with receptionist duties

Required Skills


Minimum education required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • 1 – 3 years experience in a similar position
  • License or Designation


Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline or commensurate experience
