Job Summary

Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join the Personal Lines division of their Community Advisor Team. The Account Manager is responsible for servicing new and existing clients, helping to maintain positive client relationships, and provide high quality service while maintaining profitability targets. This is a remote opportunity for candidates residing in the Midwest area! (OH, MI, IL, KY, OK, TX, AR, IN, WI, LA)

Essential Job Duties and Functions: 

  • Proficient with EZLynx or similar data management software as a tool to interpret policy provisions, answer coverage and billing questions from clients.
  • Enters and maintains data in Agency Management database system per procedures set forth.
  • Works off expiration list to remarket existing policies, to offer the appropriate coverage and premium for client.
  • Account Round Existing Clients and cross sell other departments within the organization.
  • Evaluate risk and develop appropriate quotes using Comparative Rating software
  • Upload new business and policy changes on company websites.
  • Answer questions and resolve concerns from carrier underwriting.
  • Maintain relationship with assigned carriers and communicate to department all known carrier changes and updates.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Work with clients to identify new exposures to loss based on FRQ’s.
  • Actively ask current clients for referrals from: friends, family or co-workers.

Required Skills


  • Minimum 2-4 years personal lines insurance experience
  • P&C Insurance license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


  • Associates or Bachelors degree in a business or financial related discipline
  • Proficient in ACS Comparative Rating Software, AMS 360 and/or other industry software
  • Strong familiarity with carriers
