Brown & Brown of Georgia’s Atlanta (Alpharetta) office is growing and seeking an exceptional individual with proven discipline, and commitment to join our team as Front Desk Receptionist. The Receptionist will be the first impression for the office, greet customers on the phone and face to face, and perform general office duties.

Seeking an eager, highly motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment.  This is a full-time entry level position with an expectation of advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them.
  • Answer incoming and ring back calls in a courteous, timely and professional manner.
  • Review, distribute, and follow up with any issues arising from incoming faxes.
  • Prepare outgoing mail.
  • Prepare daily deposits (as needed) and Excel log recording incoming checks received.
  • Timely processing of Direct Bill Statements.
  • Review, sort, scan, distribute, and follow up with any issues regarding incoming mail.
  • Prepare renewal letters to insureds for Commercial and Personal Lines Departments (FRQ and SBQ).W
  • Weekly inventory and ordering of supplies and office equipment, which includes obtaining best price.· Conference Room/Break Room Management.
  • Maintain Phone, Birthday, and Anniversary list of office employees, and inform management of upcoming dates.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed by the Office Management Team.
  • Complete expense reports as needed.
  • Entry of Direct Bill statements as needed.
  • Keep reception area neat.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role and/or office setting
  • Strong commitment to servicing the agency’s clients and teammates
  • Pleasant phone voice and demeanor
  • Proficient with computers, internet, and MS Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • High level of reliability and dependability and punctuality
  • Able to deal with tasks in an organized and prioritized manner.
  • High School Diploma Required.  Bachelor’s Degree welcome!
  • Professional Appearance
  • Able to work Monday through Friday from 8-5
