    Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc. is currently seeking a knowledgeable Account Executive to join our Benefits Department! This individual who will be responsible for providing support to employee benefit lines by maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts. This role will require the Account Executive to spend approximately 25-50% of the time outside of the office with clients.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • New Business marketing including, but not limited to rating and quoting employee benefit lines.
    • Renewal marketing including, but not limited to rating and quoting assigned employee benefit accounts
    • New Business & Renewal Underwriting including, but not limited to gathering missing enrollment information and all underwriting status follow up
    • Work directly with group administrators to assist and educate on the proper administration procedures, State & Federal COBRA, additions & termination and all other administrative procedures
    • Assist employees with unresolved claim issues while educating them on the claims processing system
    • Process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail, for assigned accounts
    • Answer and process all telephone requests for assigned accounts
    • Enter all required data into system to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts
    • Maintain & annually update the physical account files
    • Maintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence/requests
    • Provide back-up to other Account Analysts, as assigned
    • Maintain expiration records
    • Develop and maintain working relationship with the various company marketing representatives and underwriters
