    The Account Manager role supports Account Executives and works collaboratively with other members of the Account Management Team on an assigned book of business to execute the strategy deliverables for the client. The Account Manager is the primary contact for our clients in managing day-to-day issue resolution and is responsible for monitoring all tasks and deliverables, fielding client inquiries and maintaining all project plans.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish strong relationship with clients and insurance carriers.
    • Act as a point of reference for our clients regarding all aspects of their insurance plans.
    • Marshal the appropriate resources to resolve client issues.
    • Demonstrate Group insurance expertise and superior level of knowledge when assisting them with insurance plan questions and issue resolution.
    • Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI), including coordination of insurance carrier proposals, preparation of Executive
    • Summaries, timeline monitoring and participation in the implementation process.
    • Oversee the maintenance of current and historical plan designs, process maps, rates, plan documents and other pertinent client information in Pacific
    • Resources’ client database to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the system
    • Perform certificate and contract reviews and plan design analyses
    • Attend and participates in claim audits
    • Identify, assess, resolve, and/or escalate issues, concerns or challenges as needed.

    Accounting Leader in Training - Philadelphia, PA

    Job Summary:

    This position will provide training to become an Accounting Leader at a location of Brown & Brown, Inc. (NYSE: BRO). You will learn the accounting responsibilities for an insurance agency that include monthly analysis of financial information, annual budgeting, supervision of staff, and submitting financial data to management and Corporate. The Accounting Leader maintains and promotes the positive environment of the office with making sure Brown & Brown’s guidelines and processes are met. Some offices also have Human Resource, IT & Facility Management responsibilities. HR responsibilities include new employee orientation, facilitating employee corrective actions, maintaining employee guidelines and employee exit interviews. IT responsibilities include overseeing the 3rd party vendor and IT administrator. Facilities Management responsibilities include overseeing the grounds to make sure they are maintained by the building management and supplies are ordered by staff.

     

    Training will be primarily at our Philadelphia location, but may also consist of training at nearby locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 1 year training then must be willing to relocate within U.S. to another Brown & Brown location.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Ability to complete accurate general accounting functions, such as, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable; track aging A/R revenue for company and clients; accurately account for cash receipts, preparing deposits and entering deposit into accounting system; handle all matters relating to company bank accounts including bank reconciliations, bank account funding, abandoned property, stop pays, deposits; monitor/verify FEINs with W-9s; request, track and process excess reimbursements.

    Binding Authority Underwriter - Pittsburgh, PA

    Job Summary:

    The key responsibility of the Binding Authority Underwriter is to work with producers to identify, assess and accept risks that will be profitable. This objective is achieved through providing superior service and partnership to existing producers to retain and expand coverage on the renewal book of business, and expand new business writings.   

     

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Accountability for growth in production and account retention; mix and quality of accounts.
    • Produce new and retain renewal business by marketing through binding authority insurance carriers.
    • Investigate and compile information necessary to pre-underwrite or underwrite account.
    • Analyze submissions to determine appropriate binding authority markets based on  class of business, pricing and coverage needs.  When account does not fit within Hull & Co marketing capabilities, decline account professionally and within a timely manner.
    • Rate and prepare quotations, negotiate with company underwriters and producer for price, terms and coverages to suitably structure and bind account.
    • Ability to establish and cultivate producer and company underwriter relationships.
    • Knowledge of the industry; current events in the economy and legislation shaping the insurance industry; how these factors affect our business and production efforts.
    • Respond to inquiries, requests and problems to service accounts and producers.
    • Production visits, on a routine basis, to enhance existing producer relationships as well as to establish new contacts.
    • Other duties as directed by Branch Manager or PCL

     

    Communication:

    • Compose business correspondence on marketing, quoting, binding and servicing business. 
    • Present account specifications and negotiate price, terms and coverages
    • Represent Hull & Company on production calls to establish new and ongoing affiliation with producers and company underwriters

    Human Resources Analyst - 1-3 Years Experience - Based out of Syracuse, NY

    Brown & Brown’s business model includes an Internal Operations Review Team. This position is responsible for assistance with reviewing all human resource activities throughout our 200+ locations over a 2-3 year period. Up to 50% travel will be required. Initial relocation to Syracuse, NY is required for the 2-3 year period. After successful development within the Brown & Brown business culture and execution of key job elements during this timeframe, this position would roll-out to a position in one of our many subsidiary offices or with our corporate team, either of which may require relocation within the U.S.
