    Job Summary:

    Exciting opportunity in Financial Leadership of a $2 Billion, high growth, profitable company with responsibilities to the Regional Director of Financial Operations. Position involves financial and compliance review, acquisition due diligence, and significant recruiting and mentoring. Brown & Brown maintains a unique, decentralized, entrepreneurial culture where over 70% of current team members have stock ownership.

    Job Functions & Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare, complete, and review the various sections of the audits in accordance with the audit programs including performing interviews, obtaining and analyzing information and concluding and communicating test results
    2. Document work in a complete, accurate and organized manner to demonstrate a complete understanding and support conclusions reached
    3. Perform self-review of all completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards prior to submitting for review
    4. Operate in an organized manner managing multiple projects and open items list, following up on items and escalating items in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines
    5. Keep the Manager and the Team Leader informed on the status of the review and the observations which relate to it
    6. Conduct audit observations re-tests to ensure action plans have been implemented
    7. Create travel arrangements for each review
    8. Help mentor and coach new team members of the Internal Audit Team
    9. Perform Due Diligence for potential acquisitions as required
    10. Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Director or Manager
    11. Successful completion of Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation (AAI) within first nine months

     



    Required Competencies:
    1. Bachelors in Accounting or Finance or MBA
    2. Strong analytical skills
    3. Highly motivated team player, self-disciplined with great desire to learn
    4. Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
    5. Good written and effective oral communication skills
    6. Proficient in Microsoft Office
    7. Organized and very detail oriented
    8. Willing to pursue or have CPA, CIA, CFE and/or various insurance designations
    9. Willing and able to travel up to 40%
    10. Well-groomed and neat appearance

    Salary Range: Negotiable
    Relocation Expenses: Not Covered
