    Personal Lines Technical Assistant

    Location: Sterling Heights, MI

    Job Summary:

    Insurance technical assistant working with multiple account managers to provide quality service to our clients in a timely manner in order to meet our retention goals. Candidate will interact with producers, clients, and marketing department to maintain agency service and retention standards.

    Responsibilities include:

    •Process daily downloads

    •Attach data to client account

    •Maintain computer data

    •Policy processing

    •Prepare renewal proposals for Account Managers as needed

    •Print electronic policies for clients

    •Prepare policy delivery notebooks

    •Assist Account Manager with processing / invoicing of endorsements and / or policies

    •Update computer system as needed when processing renewals and / or endorsement requests

    •Issue auto ID cards at renewal and when vehicle changes are made

    •Profiling / scanning of all paper and electronic documents as needed

    •Follow up with carriers on pending endorsement requests and policies

    •Obtain Michigan License within one year

    •Pursue other education as required by State of Michigan to be compliant with licensing laws

    •Provide direct client support in the absence of the Account Manager (if licensed)

    •Any other ancillary duties as they may arise

    Required Competencies:
    • A willingness and ability to obtain a MI Property & Casualty License or to maintain a MI Property & Casualty License
    • Must have 1 or more years of previous office experience
    • Strong English verbal & written communication skills as well as computer skills are required
    • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Be detail-oriented and accurate, with a friendly, outgoing personality, including a good work ethic and a professional and positive attitude
    • Education – High School diploma or its equivalent
    • Ability to learn the agency management system
    • Required to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
    • Pleasant phone manner
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

    Salary Range: Negotiable
    Relocation Expenses: Not Covered
